PE HD 300

HD 300 polyethylene
Due to its good resistance to chemical attack, polyethylene is insensitive to attacks from most acids, alkaline solutions, many organic solvents and hot water. It is a good electrical insulator and is weldable. The operating temperatures of PE-HD are between -50°C and approximately +90°C.

Benefits : low density, high toughness (even in cold), high elongation at break, very good electrical and dielectric properties, very low water absorption, low water vapour permeability, high resistance to chemical attack, good resistance to stress cracking, physiologically harmless.

Disadvantages: soft surface (low rigidity), not HF weldable, poor adhesion to glue and paint, not weather resistant.

Applications

Transport containers, pump and valve components, parts for container manufacturing, components for medical applications, seals, slide profiles, mechanical parts for household waste collection devices.
