NYLATRON® 703 XL






NYLATRON 703 XL is the only polyamide that eliminates the "stick-slip" effect in all circumstances: tests in contact with painted and unpainted surfaces show similar results. The absence of the "stick-slip" effect allows for more precise and efficient movement of translation systems that, moreover, will consume less energy.
NYLATRON 703 XL, subjected to comparative tests carried out by an independent research institute, confirms lower static and dynamic friction coefficients than those of other polyamides. For sophisticated control systems, NVLATRON 703 XL allows short translation movements with very high precision.
Its low coefficient of friction gives the NYLATRON 703 XL excellent wear resistance, extending the service life of mechanical assemblies and couplings. The NYLATRON 703 XL can work without lubrication.
NYLATRON 703 XL offers mechanical properties similar to other self-lubricating polyamides, and temperature resistance comparable to our other cast polyamides.
Applications
One of these applications is the sliding shoe and wear plates in telescopic booms. NYLATRON 703 XL is the reference material: no vibrations during the movements of the telescopic boom, more efficient positioning of the crane and better working conditions. NYLATRON 703 XL mounted on a boom runs dry and without the unpleasant effect of "stick slip"!
Other targeted applications are wear plates for linear handling systems and conveyors where the NYLATRON 703 XL eliminates plant vibrations, while reducing energy consumption costs. Applications for forestry equipment, sliding pads for pneumatically and/or electrically controlled mechanical assemblies, and wear parts for special vehicle construction are also under development.
