Call on PlastiService for the machining of technical plastics

Machining of engineering plastics requires skills and preserved specific to these different materials. Entrusting your parts to PlastiService for their machining is your quality assurance.

To meet the demand of our customers, we are expanding the ISO approach within our workshops and gradually they receive the qualification ISO 9001.

Our machine park is exclusively dedicated to the machining of synthetic materials, which gives you an additional guarantee of safety with regard to the absence of pollution from metal particles.

Whether your parts are small or large, our machining machines are particularly suitable for transforming synthetic materials, giving the machined parts a level of finish that meets industry requirements.

Our workshops are equipped with machining centers for: CNC turning and conventional, the CNC milling (2, 3, 4 and 5 axes) and conventional, profiling, drilling, grinding, bending, forming, polishing, etc.

Thanks to the numerous Plastiservice locations, we are always located at network of our customers. This presence allows for personalized contact and offers the possibility of reacting within very short time frames.

Synthetic products & solutions that meet the requirements of each industry

The plastic and/or synthetic materials (in the broad sense of the term) for machining marketed by our group find their applications in machine construction, the food industry, the pharmaceutical and medical industry, the chemical industry, electronics, in short, in industry in general and meet the requirements of numerous European standards and directives.

1. Precision and Complexity

Machining allows parts to be produced with a very high precision, achieving tight tolerances and complex geometries. Whether you need prototypes, small series or unique parts, machining guarantees faithful reproduction of technical specifications.

2. Variety of Materials

Engineering plastics such as PAI, PEEK, PTFE, PA6, and many others exhibit unique properties : mechanical resistance, dimensional stability, resistance to wear, chemicals, and heat. Thanks to machining, it is possible to transform these materials to meet specific needs, whether in aeronautics, automobiles, medical, or electronics. These materials are capable of advantageously replacing non-ferrous metals and alloys when taking into account your specifications.

3. Cost Optimization

Machining allows parts to be produced without the need for specific tooling, unlike processes such as plastic injection. This results in a cost reduction initial, especially for small and medium series, while guaranteeing optimum quality. For certain materials, such as cast polyamide, rough shapes obtained during casting make it possible to reduce machining times and the volume of chips.

4. Flexibility and Speed

Machining allows for rapid adaptation to design changes or new project requirements. This flexibility is a major asset for companies that must remain responsive to market developments.

5. Resistance and Durability

Parts machined from engineering plastics are often intended for demanding environments. These materials, machined with precision, offer excellent resistance to wear, shocks, and extreme conditions, thus prolonging the lifetime of your equipment.

By choosing the machining of technical plastics, you are opting for a solution capable of meeting the strictest requirements in terms of performance and durability, while benefiting from great flexibility in carrying out your projects and in compliance with current standards.

Machining and 3D printing: the winning tandem

The PlastiService group is also equipped with a workshop additive manufacturing (3D printing) and are able to guide you on the manufacturing technique suited to your needs and your budget.

Our 3 main 3D printing technologies:

  • Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)
  • Stereolithography (SLA)
  • Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

When higher levels of precision or finish are required, printed parts can be re-machined locally.

Our 3D printing and hybrid manufacturing is dedicated to the production of complex parts, functional prototypes or spare parts, in very high performance plastic materials.

The combination of 3D printing and CNC machining allows the advantages of each technology to be combined in reducing production times and costs.

Depending on your requests, we are also able to provide assembly, folding, gluing, welding, polishing, planing of technical polymers.
