Thermoplastics Food Grades FDA, EU 10/2011
Plastiservice offers a selection of high-performance engineering thermoplastics, certified to FDA and EU 10/2011 (in compliance with EC Regulations 1935/2004 and EC 2023/2006). These materials offer excellent dimensional stability, high mechanical strength, increased wear resistance, and optimal compatibility with cleaning agents commonly used in the food industry.
When requested when ordering, your delivery of this range is accompanied by a declaration of conformity according to Regulation (EU) 10/2011, guaranteeing continuous traceability of the plastic semi-finished product down to the raw materials used in the batch. Each standard format is labeled by material type, production batch and size.

The three levels of detection
Our materials and solutions, suitable for food contact, can be detectable with three levels of detection to ensure reliable, efficient and long-lasting operation:
- 1st level of detection – Blue color is used to facilitate visual detection especially in the case of a piece of plastic broken during the process
- 2nd Level of Detection – Additives are incorporated into the plastic to make it detectable by standard metal detectors.
- 3rd Level of Detection – The latest technology in food grade plastics adds the possibility of X-ray detection to metallic (MD) and visual (blue color).

The detection possibilities mentioned above (visual, metal and X-ray) open up the fields of possibilities in order to to improve performance and reduce production costs thanks to the use of polymers (VMX range = PA, POM-C, PEEK & PTFE) while nevertheless retaining the usual detection systems used in particular for stainless steel.
